64-page picture book with drawings of all buildings located at Laugavegur in Reykjavik, “Dear Laugavegur” by Jóhann Ludwig Torfason published by Pabbakné will launch on March 28th and will be exhibited until March 31st.
The company Pabbakné publishes the book “Dear Laugavegur” by Johann Ludwig Torfason. It is a 64-page picture book with realistic drawings of all buildings in the main street of Reykjavik – Laugavegur, along with information on the Architect and construction year of each building. The drawings reflect the current look of the houses, colour and material, as well as outdoor labels. The slope of the street is levelled out and the houses stand levelled on ground to fit the book form better. The book is partly about Urban Studies, exploring the man-made environment and the humans tendency of living, working and socialising at the very same spot. Along with the book launch on March 28, expanded pages from the book will be on display on the walls until March 31.
