In Sif Benedicta’s 3rd collection she has joined forces with Brynja Skjaldar to create a clothing collection to harmonize with Sif Benedicta’s previous collections of accessories.
Sif Benedicta focuses on slow fashion as well as high quality pieces manufactured in Italy and Lebanon.
Sif Benedicta was founded in 2017 by Halldora Sif with her first collection of handbags, necklaces and silk scarves debuting the same year. Halldóra worked closely with small family owned manufacturers in Italy and Lebanon, focusing on quality and sustainability.
The natural horns, used in the necklaces and bag handles, are recycled, processed and sourced in compliance with environmental sustainability. All the remaining production material is then used to produce fertiliser for organic cultivation.
In Sif Benedicta’s second collection she expanded her production adding earrings and hair clips.
For Sif Benedicta’s third collections she has joined forces with Brynja Skjaldar. Brynja is a FIT fashion graduate, but has mainly worked as a costume designer and a stylist in recent years. She has recently relocated to Iceland after living in New York and LA, where she worked as a stylist and a fashion designer including for the ethical fashion brand EDUN.
For this collection Halldóra and Brynja will expand Sif Benedicta’s collection to include clothing as well as the accessories which Sif Benedicta is known for. The collection will focus on vibrant colours with a vintage vibe. The will combine the playfulness of the 70s along with the rigid structure of tailoring, producing a classical, quality and well fitting forever pieces.
