ANITA HIRLEKAR will be launching an exclusive collaboration with the British luxury eyewear brand CUTLER AND GROSS.
The mini eyewear collection has a strong sense of individuality, craftsmanship and artistic values.
The frames will be available to pre order at KIOSK Grandi Reykjavik.
Trained at Central Saint Martins, the Icelandic-based fashion designer Anita Hirlekar has always maintained an interest in exploring craftsmanship and individuality.
From artistic, floral dresses and embroidered jackets with multi-colored threads to feminine silhouettes are a signatures of her bright and playful designs.
Further expanding her growing accessories line, the designer has now experimented with bold acetate on a debut range of sunglasses, created in collaboration with luxury optical brand Cutler and Gross.
Together they explored the extensive Cutler and Gross archive during the design process.
Cutler and Gross is a strong force in eyewear design and exquisite quality. Each pair of Cutler and Gross sunglasses or optical frames is entirely handmade and, from design to production.
The mini collection was inspired by the idea of strong personalities wearing statement frames in elegant shapes.
The first drop of the collection is a statement, dramatically chic angular frame featuring a faceted upper rim and elegant tapered temples. The collection has a strong attention to detail where there was a playful focus on the transparent materials.
Designed for women with strong personalities, the statement frames have been given the ANITA HIRLEKAR treatment with unusual and unexpected color combinations, like purple and orange, which is a natural extension of Hirlekar´s ready to wear collections.
The results are elegant and refined, allowing women to embrace their individuality.
