The Icelandic Fashion council celebrates the presentation of the Indriða Award 2020 and a panel discussion about Icelandic fashion design at Hönnunarmars 2021.
To celebrate the presentation of the Indriðaverðlaun 2020, the Icelandic Fashion Council is holding an award ceremony in Gróska – on Wednesday 19.05. Following the award ceremony, fashion designer Steinunn Sigurðardóttir will interview the award winner and highlight their career.
The Indriði Award is an biannual honorary award from the Icelandic Fashion Council, named after the tailor Indriði Guðmundsson. With the award, the Icelandic Fashion Design Association wants to give designers recognition for their work and contribution to Icelandic fashion design as well as shedding light on the best that is happening in Icelandic fashion design.
This year, the Fashion Council is also reaching a milestone, when we celebrate our 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we aim to bring together some outstanding individuals from the Icelandic fashion design community to look back on 20 years of fashion design, see where we are now and where Icelandic fashion design is headed.
Due to restrictions on gatherings, a limited number of tickets will be available and registration is required. Information will be available on the event’s Facebook page closer to the date.
